As you already know we don’t prevent you from exporting your flashcards to have a backup on your computers. But how is this feature being used?

We provide to export formats: XML and CSV. 73% of all exports were made to generate a XML-file. Pro User export 50-60% more than Free User. They use CoboCards more intensively and have more flashcards to export.

If we look at import statistics almost 67% import a CSV-file. CSV is recommandable for plain text flashcards, where for flashcards containing images, tables or formula XML should be used.

Whatever format you use to backup flashcards, don’t forget that we are doing a backup of the whole system every day. In the last 4 years we never had an incident with lost content.

What is the reason behind using the Leitner algorithm?

Studies by the Fraunhofer Institut show that people with active learning control or an active drive to learn are both more likely – as well as more motivated – to learn.

What is Leitner‘s five-box principle?

Sebastian Leitner was the first one to use this type of learning. Here, the content which is to be learnt is initially located in the first box. When a question is correctly answered, the card is moved to the second box. However, if it is incorrectly answered, it will go back to the start. When all cards are in the last box, the knowledge has become part of long-term memory and learners can be sure to pass the test.

What is the eCoach (Leitner algorithm)?

The Leitner algorithm is an eCoach developed by us that calculates and presents the flash cards to be repeated. There is therefore no need for learners who are using the Leitner algorithm to worry about whether and which cards they need to learn – they can simply work according to the eCoach.

What is the reminder function?

If a learning period, which has been calculated by the Leitner algorithm, is exceeded, at which point there is a risk that what has been learnt goes back into short-term memory (because it is not yet in the last box), the eCoach reminder function will bring this to the attention of the learner.
Following its introduction, the Leitner algorithm has become one of the most popular functions and is now available online as well on iPhone and Android mobile phones.

Han Trainer Pro ist ein Unternehmen, das sich auf Chinesisch spezialisiert hat. Die in Kooperation mit Muttersprachlern erstellten 1253 Karteikarten enthalten den wichtigsten Wortschatz aus 57 Themengebieten.

Auf der einen Seite befinden sich chinesische Schriftzeichen mit der dazugehörigen Pinyin-Lautumschrift, der offiziellen Romanisierung des Hochchinesisch in der Volkrepublik China.

Die Rückseite enthält die deutsche Übersetzung und wieder das Schriftzeichen zum Teil mit Merkhilfen.

Der Kartensatz mit insgesamt 1253 Karteikarten kostet 14,95 €, also etwas mehr als 1 Cent pro Karte. Dagegen lässt sich echt nichts sagen.

Wer lieber Deutsch-Chinesisch statt Chinesisch-Deutsch lernt, für den gibt es den Kartensatz in inverser Form. Pro-User haben den Vorteil, dass sie Frage/Antwort und Antwort/Frage lernen können und beides haben.
