Searching the pool via browser

If you use Firefox or Internet Explorer (> version 7) then you can search in the ppol using the search functionality of your browser. Just go to http://cobocards.com and click on the option search pages and you will see CoboCards.

Fast card creation with shortcuts

1. Shift-N (new card)
2. TAB (jump to Question)
3. Type question and TAB
4. Write answer and TAB
5. Type tag (optional) and TAB
6. Type source (optional) and TAB
7. Enter (to save) and start again...

Insert special characters

Go to http://copypastecharacter.com/ and click on the special character (It's copied automatically to your clipboard) and paste it in the CoboCards editor with with Ctrl+V

Create flashcards at the right place

If you enter the cardset, you always see the first created flashcard. If you now click on “New card” it will create this new card exactly behind the first card. If you want to add the new card at the end of the set, click the left arrow (or use the slider).

Get RSS-Feed

If you work in a team, you should activate the RSS-Feed. By doing this you will be informed whenever something has been changed in your flashcard set. To see what exactly was changed, just have a look at “Last activity”.

Linking cards

You can link cards to other cards by pasting the URL of this card into the “Source” field of another card. You can also link external URLs by doing the same procedure.

Find unfinished cards

If you haven’t entered an answer to a card yet, you can find all these unfinished cards by searching for the word “Answer” in the search field.

Controls and studying in a team

If you have a lot of text on the cards, it will help your team mate if you format the important parts of the text. By doing this you tell him that these formatted parts have to be in the answer for evaluationg if the answer was correct or not.

More text on flashcard

If you want to write a lot of text on the flashcard, just use the butten “Small”. This will decrease the font size, you will get more text on the card and you don’t have to scroll all the time.

Reduce the amount of work

The more people work on the same card set the less to do for each of them. Hence, share your card set with class mates. To complete the answers of someone else is easier than writing them all himself.

Sort cards within a card set

To sort cards within a card set, just click on “Cards”, “All cards” and change the order of the cards with “Drag & Drop”.

Find last created cards

If you have created a card and then recognise that something is missing and you don’t find the card in the card set, just go “Last activity” and “Cards”. Here you can see the last created card. Alternatively, you can use the search functionality.
