Wenn man Politiker einmal reden hört, dann fordern sie mehr soziales Engagement von Unternehmen. Diese Verantwortung für die Gesellschaft wird Corporate Social Responsibility oder kurz CSR genannt.
Gegen soziale Verantwortung seitens der Unternehmen kann keiner etwas haben. Wir hatten es auch nicht, obwohl wir den obigen Begriff so in der Form gar nicht kannten.
Wo könnte ein Start-Up wie CoboCards seine soziele Verantwortung besser unter Beweis stellen als im Bildungswesen? In den letzten Jahren haben wir daher diversen Bildungsinstituten kostenlose Pro-Accounts angeboten. Diese wurden z.T. erst gar nicht angenommen.
Das Beispiel unserer ehemaligen Schule
Tamim und ich gingen auf dasselbe Gymnasium. Die Schule hatte uns zu denen gemacht, die wir heute waren. Da machte es Sinn, gerader dieser Schule etwas zurückzugeben.
Unser Vorschlag: Wir geben jedem Schüler und jeder Schülerin zum Zeitpunkt X einen Pro-Account. Diesen kann er/sie dann solange nutzen, wie er/sie es möchte.
Bei einer Schülerzahl von schötzungsweise 700, einer Durchschnittschuldauer von sechs Jahren wäre dies ein Sponsoring in Höhe von 151.200 € gewesen. Für ein kleiens Start-Up wie uns seinerzeits ein sehr großzügiges Sponsoring.
Unser Angebot wurde jedoch nicht angenommen. Nicht nur das! Weder unsere E-Mail, noch mein Anruf, noch mein persönliches Erscheinen in der Schule wurde in irgendeiner Weise erwiedert. Ich meldete mich beim Förderverein der Schule. Dort nahm man sich dem Thema zwar an und konnte nicht verstehen, warum solch ein Angebot nicht wahrgenommen wird. Letztendlich ist auch dort nichts passiert.
Kein Sponsoring mehr
Wir sind zwar danach noch einige kleinere Sponsorings wie z.B. mit der Technischen Universität Mittelhessen eingegangen. Das große Sponsoring blieb jedoch aus. Zu groß war die Enttäuschung über das Verhalten des St. Leonhard Gymnasiums in Aachen. Insbesondere deshalb, weil die damalige stellvertretende Schulleiterin noch eine unserer Lehrerinnen gewesen war.
