Effects of European imperialism on Africa?

1. Economic:exploited raw materials, leased land for agriculture, built railroads for transport, euro currency
             loss of land and reduced self efficiency of africans

2. Political: boundaries didnt consider indigenous lines (caused conflict), government was quietly undermined, africans taught individual liberty and political freedom

3. Cultural: missionaries came with the purpose to change african culture (used education, medicence and religion)
schools taught english customs and language and medicene abolished traditional african religion-->replaced by christ
