Why are pollinators important in the life cycle of the flowering plant?
Because they carry the pollen that contains half of the plant's genetic material from the stamens (or anthers) to the pistils (or stigmas) so the pollen can grow down into the bottom of the flower and fertilize the eggs (or ovules).
