Es gibt zwei Skalen: Job Demands (Workload oder intellektuelle Anforderungen) und Job Decision Latitude (Entscheidungsspielraum)

High-Strain-Jobs: hohe Ansprüche, geringe Kontrolle (Krankenschwestern, Fließbandarbeiter)

aktive Jobs: hohe Ansprüche, hohe Kontrolle (Anwalt, Ingenieur) -> hohe Jobzufriedenheit, gute Gesundheit

Low-Strain-Jobs: geringe Ansprüche, hohe Kontrolle (Architekt, Zahnarzt)

passive Jobs: geringe Ansprüche, geringe Kontrolle (Pförtner)
